When I started She Writes posts, I was looking for a place different from my blog to put my words. To send them out into the ether and see if anyone read them or even cared if I wrote them. Then I joined Cowbird and did some writing there, making new friends as I did so. Another place to throw out my words for others to see. I sort of let She Writes fall in disuse.

Then, today, when I googled my name, I saw that She Writes was up pretty high on the list so figured I should stop by here, see what has been going on. I was surprised at the number of views some of the pieces had received. No comments, but views. Somebody has read my words. Don't know what they look like, who they know, or even what they thought. No comments, just views. 

So, here I am, adding a few more words. I'm still writing my blog, still writing at Cowbird, still putting some words out there on Twitter, even Facebook, although Facebook sort of drives me crazy with what is posted. I would like to have a conversation there, but it doesn't happen. Seems such a shallow place to put my words. But, is anywhere very deep?
