A Dear John Letter to Fear Don't say my name or caress the base of my spine. You've penetrated me for the last time. You wrapped my mind in your bands of false evidence. Your soft whispers robbed me of my common sense. Courage has freed me from your lullaby. Gather your things and leave your key at the front door. Fireworks blast off in a roar. The new year's here. It's over, my dear.

Yes, Melissa. I'm trying to stay on track. I'm trying to write a little each day and remind myself of why I first fell in love with writing. Thanks for responding.

I'm definitely trying kick "fear" to the curb as one of my writing goals this year. It sounds like you're on the right track with disposing of yours.

LOL!  I think I need one of those, too, then.  That's the trouble with fear - you can never get rid of it permanently, it seems.  Every day, we battle again, so that our creativity can live!  Thanks for inspiring us to never give up the good fight!  :)

Thank you, Barbara. Yes, I gave it the boot, but it keeps trying to come back. I may have to get a restraining order. Lol! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Perfect - I love it!  And yes, I'm giving fear the boot, too.  Thank you, Alexandra!
