Well, autumn lovers, it's been peak week over here, and I don't mean what happens between an 18 y/o man and a 35 y/o lady! I mean pretty fall foliage.
I loved this song when it first came out. I think that was the same year I decided to be an autumn fairy for Halloween, dyed a fancy dress to a russet tone, and spent hours sewing gold spangles and sequins in swirly designs all over it. Still have that dress. And now for some Depeche Mode.
Thought or the day: If you give an animal a pen, the prose will either have fangs or it will love to have its belly rubbed. Very cool.
Thought #2: I keep having to put Anna Karenina aside because it's so heavy and hard to lug everywhere--won't fit in my purse. I miss it, but I'm always off on some distant planet and can't always read where the oxygen is thin.
Here's the cover of Bryan Ferry's one solo album, The Bride Stripped Bare, a nice snake/lady photo on the back that, of course, fascinated me as a teen:
This is Marcel Duchamp's The Bride Stripped Bare by her Bachelors Even. Very unsexy.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Nite.
