Event Description

Come meet She Writes Founding Partner Deborah Siegel to discuss how She Writes can work for those of you in the Chicago area!

'Nuf 3rd person. I'll be in town next week visiting my family and would love to sit down with a small -- or large! -- handful of those interested in sharing thoughts and feedback about what women writers in the area hunger for most.

An added enticement: Meet E. Victoria Flynn, founder of the ever-popular Mother Writer! group here at She Writes, who is coming in from MADISON!

Note to those attending: I really don't look like my author photo much any more; look for someone with shorter hair and glasses. I really need to update that photo. Then again, don't we all?!

Feel free to bring a copy of your book (if you've written one!) or a gently used copy of another's for a signature SW book exchange.

Pls RSVP ahead of time so I know how large of a table to reserve. So looking forward!

I'm sorry everyone! I am not going to be able to make it. We move next week, so you can imagine the chaos. :)

Childcare issues resolved. Will probably be there, and on time (or close to it)!

I'm really looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow and oddly enough, for the long quiet drive in the car--alone!

Because of child-care challenges, I can't leave until 12:30, so I may be there, but an hour late. Just to say hi and maybe have something seitan-ish.

My daughter is up at Northwestern at the moment so I will try to do double duty - attending this luncheon and taking her party dress to her!

Fantastic! This is right around the corner from my house! Good choice! :)

I'm so sad to miss this event, especially since it is within walking distance of my house! We will be celebrating my stepson's wedding in Seattle, so I'll be on my way to the other side of the country. Enjoy Evanston. I look forward to hearing all about it.

Taking Copycat Pathways to Originality

I was reading a blog post last week about the benefit of copying as a means of learning something new, such as blogging. A writer named Di Mace was saying, “From copying, you then begin to understand, and from understanding you then start to play…See More
