Hi everyone! I'm a newbie but figured this would be an excellent place to meet other writers and hopefully make some connections.

I'm on a mission... for myself, for other women, for the literary world. I started an independent publishing company called Broken Publications in 2010, which can be found at www.brokenpublications.com.

The idea behind a new project I'm working on is to publish an annual anthology/collection/literary magazine that I've dubbed Soul Vomit after what I've always called my ranting and raving in my journals. =)

I need submissions. Though the book won't be published until December 2012, I'd like to receive a number of submissions for it.

The theme for this one is domestic violence. As a domestic violence survivor, I feel it's important to expose the nature of this beast and collectively communicate how painful and destructive such a relationship can be, as well as inspiring courage to leave an abuser or report abuse to the police, whether you're a victim or a witness.

For more information on the publication, its development, and other related projects, please visit www.soulvomit.com.

This will be an in print publication.

If anyone has any domestic abuse-related works to submit, the submission manager can be found on the Soul Vomit web site.

I hope to hear from many of you, and that you're all having a great week!

Hi Jennifer,

I run the  PoetryCritique-v.2 and would be happy to cross post this to my group if you don't mind.

Kelli

Please do! I hope you don't mind if I join, too =). Do you know anyone here that needs a book review done? I'm starting to review books on my Soul Vomit site and haven't gotten my first one yet. I do fiction and poetry mostly =).

Thanks for your input & for getting the word out! I hope you're having a great week!

Jen

Everyone is welcome to join, I approved you. We keep it private but approve everyone. I don't know anyone personally that needs a book reviewed but I'll keep an eye out. Be sure to ask the group, I know some are considering putting out chapbooks if that is any help.

Sure, I'll post something in the group now =). After that I have to do my final though... haha =).

Thanks again - I hope you're having a great week!
