I don't know much about copyright logistics and thought I would ask anyone here what their experience has been and what you think about the Free copyright offer. They take a fingerprint of the original and email it to you, their words. Is this a good idea? I would like to hear the various ways one can go about having this done for a blog.

Thanks for any and all who comment. Much appreciated!

Everything you write is copyrighted when you write it. All you do by sending it in to the government (or any company for that matter) is help boost your side of the story if you ever end up in court. For the most part, I think that paying to have that kind of proof only becomes necessary as you sale enough books to get noticed!

Thanks so much for your reply, Katherine. I appreciate all the expertise.
