I'm in NY and looking to try out a couple to see where I fit but I don't actually know where exactly to look. I'm revising a memoir, have an MFA (Kamy and I went to school together!) and am pretty serious about publishing both the memoir and other pieces. Looking for something that meets weekly or biweekly. Memoir and fiction is fine. Not good with poetry and genre fiction. Craigslist was not useful in my quest so I'm still poking around the web to figure out where groups that exist or are forming publicize themselves. I was thinking of forming my own group but I know I would use the formation of the group to procrastinate from actually writing!  Rather just jump in to something already formed. Thanks for the help!
