Hi Beth,
First of all welcome to shewrites!
I know you asked for words of wisdom but I am not quiet sure I'll be able to tell you anything of that sort but then one thing I can tell you is that I really hope your book does well and all your scheduled events are successful!
So no wisdom her but a 'ALL THE BEST' for your book.
I would love to get to know more about you and your book!

Hello Beth;
The secret life of bees is one of my favorite books. As Pamela Dorman edited that novel, and gave such great reviews on yours, stating it was something she was proud to launch with, you already have confirmation that the book is great! I hope and pray, and send out well wishes to the universe, that your novel will touch as many hearts and have as positive affects, in ever way. As far as you 'birthing your baby', do all that you can do, then just breathe. The novel sounds like a wonderful one.

I plan to make my first launch next month, and it is nervewrecking, but I will try to take my own advise in this regard.

Good luck, congrats on the publication. The women here at SHEWRITES are your army of encouragement and support.

Thank you, Sherelle. You're right, I'm in the birth mode... this is my first baby and I suppose it's natural to be so nervous.

How exciting that you are having your "launch" next month. I'll be putting up lots of good thoughts for your success and joy!

You have made it to this point and I am sure that you will make it through the book tour and every other upcoming event as far as marketing your book. I would like to say as far as your nervousness, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. Hello Priscilla, and thank you for your support and prayers. I know (intellectually) that my nervousness is normal, but it's my emotions that take me for a ride. You're right, I need to let my spiritual being relax and trust in this process. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Hi Beth - Think about the book in first person - it's all about her - the book. So that's not exactly true but it does take a lot of pressure off to think of the book as the focus not you. If you can, bring a friend or two - that always makes everything less nerve wracking. And remember a tour is not a make or break affair, publicity aside, it should be enjoyed! Congrats!!!
