Sorry you're having troubles!  You should make sure that you've got javascript enabled in your browser, and you might also want to try clearing your cookies/cache/history.  Have you attempted to sign up using a different browser?

Feel free to let me know if you're still unable to sign up, and give details as to any continued problems you're having so I can help you sleuth it out.

The issue isn't my blog. I couldn't retrieve the badge from this site to use ANYWHERE. If I get the time to picture, crop upload and code it just to use it on my blog I will, otherwise I may just forget I've ever heard of She Writes.

Hi Elisa,

Here's what I just discovered for adding the 'She Writes' badge to my Blogger blog...to see for yourself click Blogger.

With a 'snipping tool' make a screen shot to save in a file. Then open YOUR page on She Writes.

On your blog add a PICTURE gadget. Download the screen shot of your badge from the file in which you saved it. Be sure to add the URL address for YOUR She Writes page and save. Let me know if this works for you.

I'm pretty sure this will approach will also work on my Wordpress.com blog. I'll let you know ASAP.

For a Wordpress.com blog:

Upload the screen shot of your badge to Photobucket to get a picture code.

Go to your wordpress blog and grab an IMAGE widget. Copy/Paste the DIRECT LINK code into the Image URL space and copy/paste your SW page URL address into the space for URL link when clicking on image.

This will do it. See mine here

I'm impressed MCatherine!  Thanks so much for coming to my aid.  Problem is although my website is Wordpress it has been modified by "WriteClick" who hosts me and your instructions don't work.  I just Mr WriteClick and he's going to insert the badge.  I soo wanted to do it myself.  But 'twas driving me nuts.

Hi, MCatherine !

Thanks for the directions for putting the badge on a Wordpress.com blog.  I printed them out and they appear simple enough.  I joined Photobucket so that I could upload a screenshot of the badge but I can't get my older and cantankerous computer (using WIndows XP, btw) to take a screenshot of the badge.  I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.... Could someone give further direction on this or could someone upload the badge to a public album on Photobucket for all SWers to grab ?

Thanks MCatherine, I know how, I'm just peeved that the "grab a badge" thing on here doesn't work. Doing it myself takes more time out of my schedule and I have a ton of things to do. I can just upload it to my host and use it that way. It just takes long than "click what size badge you want and grab the code".

Ah yes, Elisa...if it were only easier it would be so MUCH better. I'm not sure WHY it doesn't work with simply copy/pasting the code into a widget/gadget....

I understand your frustration...I was just glad to figure SOMETHING out and wanted to share just in case you did not know how.
