We all have to be literary activists or we'll stay forever in the skullery.  Ask Donna Tarte or Sara Paretsky.  You don't get reviewed as men get reviewed, you don't sell anything but Romance as easily as men sell whatever they want to, you don't get the respect for women's novels that men get for the most violent, women blasting books.  Oh well--just another diatribe!
