You mean, you write Stephen King-like horror? That would be interesting. I'm going to visit blogs in the next week or so. I've really had to get myself re-focused lately, so this week is the time to hammer out that short story. I

Nice to meet you as well. :)  I suppose Stephen King is an apt comparison, though I'm afraid it flatters me more than it would him. I have an end of the month deadline myself for a new story that I've been putting off for awhile, so I will be writing furiously, allocating time specifically for procrastinatination. :)

Hi Elisabeth,

 

Sherrelle was interested in having a critique partner, if you're interested. If I can crank out enough or if reading/critiquing isn't too distracting for me, maybe we can do a three-way kind of thing. Anybody else out there interested?

 

Also, I have flash fiction (3) on my blog, if you wanna read. I was actually working on one for this week but I couldn't contain it within the word count I was going for, so it will be my short story writing for this week.

I thought I posted in this group that I was looking for a critique partner (or even just a few people) to critique a 1500 word story before I submit it to a contest, but I can't find my post right now...did I even post it?

Hi - I'm Alicia (anotherjoy). I'm a somewhat shy single female in my 20s who's spent most of my life developing a weird, multi-generational soap opera in my head, and writing increasing amounts of poetry. Hi all! My name is Melissa and I am new to She Writes - I am 26 years old and have been blogging for about 8 months. I am an aspiring short story writer - my first short story 'In Sickness' was published in a short story collection called The Bed Book of Short Stories.

If I knew how to rap I'd rap out my name, but as it is you'll just get plain old English spelling intro :)  My name is Marilyn and I'm a writer and a student. Wrote 4 short stories 1 novel and working on a second. I'm a student at Full Sail University working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, and seriously considering a Masters I'm learning so much and having so much fun.
