Hi, I'm Kamy, Founder of She Writes!  I am so excited about this opportunity to support She Writers who are writing YA fiction, and to support my favorite philanthropy, Girls Write Now, in the process.

I've heard of Girls Write Now! I'm just taking the opportunity to check out their site and I'm quite impressed. I'll definitely be entering the contest and applying for Mentorship opportunity 2012-2013. Thanks!

Hello,

I have just the thing for this contest, so I'm thrilled. Just finished my YA novel, Ghosthand, and this the perfect chance to vet it and see if it is looking strong.  Thanks She Writes.

I'm new to "She Writes" and am looking forward to submitting the young adult novel that I just finished. I'm a first time writer so this is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to it.

Hi, I'm new to She Writes. My YA novel is polished and ready to go. I just need to get the synopsis in shape. Thanks for creating this contest.

I just submitted my entry. Hopefully everything is in order.

Hi, I'm Marie! My critique partner told me about your site and this contest. I love the purpose of this group so I'm happy to be one of its newest members! My entry is in (fingers crossed!) Looking forward to navigating through the site and getting to know other members. :)

I just found She Writes and Girls Write Now. I'd love to have Girls Write Now here on the west coast. I just did National Novel Writing Month and I am working on two additional YA novels. I am also a member of SCBWI and plan to go to a worskhop on writing non-fiction for YA. I am so happy to have found you all! Thank you! I submitted to the contest just recently. What an opportunity...!

I'm happy to support Girls Write Now! I've entered, but I figure it's win-win whether I win or lose. Thanks for the opportunity!

Hello ladies! This is perfect timing for me. Thank you for the opportunity!

I've been working on edits on my latest novel, and this provides the perfect opportunity to submit it to a larger audience outside of my readers. My first novel, The Silence of Trees, was for adults (magic realism), published by a small Chicago Press, but it's been doing really well (in print, but especially on kindle!) I just uploaded a video reading the first chapter if you're curious.

I just helped to organize the second induction ceremony for the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame in November, so I'm happy to turn my attention back to my own writing!

I've been quietly lurking around She Writes since June 2010, although I know I haven't been using it enough.

Just trying to shave off the last few hundred words for my excerpt and will submit this weekend. So hard to cut those last 200 words for the excerpt!

:)

Looking forward to reading the selections chosen. Will any of the comments from the agents/editors be posted online as well?

Good luck to everyone! Happy and peaceful holidays to you and yours.

Hello!

I am new to She Writes and submitted my material into the contest.  I am very excited to see if I do well. I am a young writer and I finished my young-adult novel, "Sodality," this last summer.  I have been editting it and I hope to publish it one day.  I have never submitted anything into a contest before so I am nervous.  I have a good story I would love to share with teens all around the world!

Hi, everyone!  I'm Regina.  I usually write under the name, "R.Y. Swint," but I'm thinking of changing it to "Ry Swint," since it seems to be catchy and trendy. I write short and long fiction, and self-published my first novel last year.  I just paid my PayPal fee to enter the YA fiction contest, and I'm excited to be a part of it.  I'm new to this genre, and I'm looking forward to the experience.  I'll go check out the Girls Write Now site, now.  I'd love to be a part of a mentorship program.  Good luck, to all of the entrants!

Girls Write Now is a fabulous organization. And it's great to have some YA love on She Writes. Thanks for brainstorming this up, Kamy!

Good luck to everyone who entered.
