Hi. I'm a newbie to this site, and a Brit! I'm about to publish my first ebook - going it alone after 20 years, as I am hacked off with the way publishers treat me. So ... this is my question: we all know there are optimum times to publish print books: Fall to catch the Christmas market, Spring to catch the Summer Beach Brigade. What about ebooks? Does it matter when you publish? Or should you follow the same pattern? Love to hear what you all think. Share with me....

Im not sure about that but I do think that title is more important. I have a few books that the title is sort of obscure and they don't sell as well as those with more popular titles.... What are you writing?

Good luck with your book.....
Hi Teresa and thanks for your reply. The book is called Jigsaw Pieces - it's a rewrite of a book called Jigsaw that has been out of print. I want to get some of my back catalogue online as an ebook. My designer has come up with a lovely cover - much better than the original publisher! I will try to put it on my blog, if I can.
The book is being tagged (by me) as 'Adventure and action' in both adult and children's literature - Amazon Kindle doesn't have a category I like! I'll check out the reviews, and if there is a consensus that it's wrongly tagged, I can alter. Thinking of maybe now going with late Aug - we have holidays here, and I need to do a blog tour and promote on my Facebook page like mad!
Thanks for getting in touch. I will now go and look at your magazine! This site is fun. I only joined by accident, but I've encountered some lovely people. Shame you're not near enough to drop in for coffee! : ) carol
