Tell Me A Story 3: Women of Wonder has just been released, the third in my series of CD Audiobooks that feature multicultural folktales from my long-running syndicated newspaper feature Tell Me A Story (www.uexpress.com/tellmeastory). Each story is read by a different actor--and this one feature such goddesses as Paula Poundstone on an American Tall Tale and Bryce Dallas Howard on a British folktale. Laura Hall composed original music for each story, and this one also features a song Laura and I wrote, tezeta style (Ethiopian). Here's the link on Amazon.http://tinyurl.com/mqqsd6

Our second release which came out in 2008 has just been selected as one of ten finalists in the world's biggest music award Just Plain Folks (other nominees include four Grammy winners). That one is called Tell Me A Story 2: Animal Magic. And all of our reviews for all three are raves. Hope you'll check them out. They're they're designed for kids and kids love them, so do their parents.
I've just started blogging for a site that covers all cultural events in New England. It's called theartsfuse.com and I'm working from Berkshire County, reviewing theater, music and the visual arts. You can view my last post on Tanglewood and MassMOCA's Bang on a Can here: www.theartsfuse.com. Another piece of interest for some of you might be my amazon short on memoir -- MEMOIR; HOW I READ, WRITE AND USE IT -- that will be published as a book of short textes in Paris in October. I;m working on an American edition now. Also see SWIMMING AGAINST STEREOTYPE --http://www.amazon.com/Swimming-Against-Stereotype-Twentieth-Century...

I did my first on memoir -- MEMOIR; HOW I READ, WRITE AND USE IT -- and it will now be published as part of a book of short textes titled Ecrire La Vie in Paris in October. For those of you who teach writing, a book of my profiles for the New York Times Magazine will be coming out next month. It's called Music Talks and it's a good book to put on your suggested reading lists for feature writing, profile writing and magazine writing. I should have books by the end of August just in time for fall semester and if you can't find them anywhere else, please get in touch with me at www.helenepstein.com

I'd like to invite writers in Atlanta to come by Bound to Be Read Books (East Atlanta on Flat Shoals Road) on Thursday at 7 for "Inside the Writers' Studio." I'll be reading from my memoir, "Invisible Sisters" and doing an author talk about the challenges and (yes, really) the joys of research. There are research methods I'll bet you didn't even know you had!

Directions and more info are on my blog at http://www.jessicahandler.com/ or accessible through my SheWrites page!

Thanks!
Thanks for the link - I'm a Margaret Cho fan, and look forward to reading this.
