I've noticed quite a few names I recognize around here. If you've published a novel or have one coming soon, do tell us about it here.

Please feel free to put up a cover, but do please try to keep it MODEST-SIZED, so we can see more without having to scroll so much.To make sure it isn't too big, once you've added the jpeg, just click on it to reveal the html code and insert: width="220"

LOVE that cover, Jeanine. My editor and I were joking yesterday about shoe covers. I'm sure yours is the first shoe cover I'd love to have myself!
thanks. i was so happy with it. when i used to work in publishinig, we always talked about leg-and-shoe covers. but the ones we were most averse to were the cartoon leg-and-shoe covers. i'm delighted with this one!
Once again, looking through this thread, I'm wishing we had one of those little bookshelf things like on goodreads, so we could see all the covers together.
Trying to post my cover again:

width="220"

ooooooh. gorgeous!
Hello, my first two novels, Alison Wonderland and Being Light, were first published in the UK by Gollancz/Orion about ten years ago and got great reviews in the UK press but they eventually went out of print. They've been available as ebooks for a few weeks and new print editions are out on 1st June.

They're both quirky comedies set in London. The first is about Alison, who joins an all-female detective agency. The second is about a man who flies away on a freak gust of wind while setting up a bouncy castle in a park in South London. When he doesn't come home, his wife begins to think he's been abducted by aliens. Some of the characters from the first book turn up in the second one but it can be read as a standalone book.

My second novel, Breaking Out of Bedlam, came out in January. I've had a great time reading from it, meeting people, and getting wonderful responses. Here's from the Boston Globe:

“Leslie Larson gives an 82-year-old assisted living resident an unforgettable voice: caustic, profane, searingly honest….Cora Sledge is an unlikely heroine. She’s a widow, 82 years old, 300-plus pounds, unable to walk more than a few steps. She’s addicted to junk food, various prescription medicines, and cigarettes. She’s cantankerous, irreverent, and curses like a lumberjack. She’s irresistible."

Apologies in advance for the size of the image! If anyone knows how to make it smaller, please tell me!

Hi Leslie! I am/was with Shaye Areheart, ahem, until it merged into Crown, where I suppose we all are now. My novel is coming out next spring. I just picked up a copy of your book after hearing about it from my editor Kate Kennedy. Awesomeness! Congrats! Any good advice, pre-publication?

Anyway, congrats!

Rebecca
Congrats to you, too, Rebecca. Startling to see Shaye Areheart dissolve like that, huh? My editor flew the coop and now I'm not sure what's happening. Kate's great, so you're in good hands. Did she acquire your book? Hope it's a smash.
Yes, Kate acquired it and she's staying. You were with Sarah right? My friend Michele Young-Stone is hoping that she gets to follow her for her next novel. But, yes, it was a shock!

Cheers,

Rebecca
Yes, I was with Sarah, though she didn't acquire the book. Sally Kim was the editor of my first book with Shaye. She left just as I was about the submit my second, and Shaye ended up signing that one herself. Sarah, was great, though. Who knows what's next? My book goes into pbk in March, so it will move to Three Rivers and they'll handle it from there.
Who knows always seems to be the key question in publishing. Ah, well. At least we have our books! Really, though, congratulations!
