Permalink Reply by Elizabeth Towns on January 11, 2011 at 6:01pm What inspires you to stop dreaming it and start living it? The reality of mortality. Early last year, a madman took the life of my brother in law, who was at that time his supervisor. He planned and plotted and one early dark March morning, armed himself and went to his former place of work. Once there, he hunted out my brother in laws location, along with another supervisor, and he began shooting and gave chase, until my friend, my most ardent supporter, and the father of my beloved neice and nephews, was lying dead on a cold cement floor.
Larry was a young Grandpa, and an ardent lover of Christ. He was caring and made the best steaks and greens you ever did have to greedily eat and not want to share. Since my father's death, he had become the patriarch of our family. His death was broadcast across the nation. But what inspires me about this whole incident is how many people responded because Larry had touched their lives. People from as far away as overseas and as nearby as the team on which he worked. So many people that the streets of a major university lined the path of our processional to the cemetery, and a second memorial was held weeks later to help in healing the University family. This quiet man, humble and determined, had shared the love of Christ from the moment he found out that Christ first loved him.
I am inspired not to let my dreams and visions of completing and publishing novels, nor those of editing other writers' work, go unchased and unachieved. When you are doing what you love, using your God given talent and living according to His will, peoples lives are changed. NOT doing what you know you need to do may be the one thing standing between another person and the love of Christ. This is what inspires me to keep writing, keep pushing myself, and to always, always, encourage myself.
Go Girl! God Bless You. Love your Honesty and Courage <3

Permalink Reply by Taneisa Grier on February 23, 2011 at 12:44pm What inspires you to tell the deepest truth? In many ways it honors the relationship. Hopefully it helps us not to take advantage of one another. Truth is a lifeline. And the deepest truth sustains and reaffirms I know I can be confident in this relationship because we weld away painful deception with the sharpest side of the ax with our deepest truth.
Brilliant! Love This <3
