Hey you all! I have the hugest favor to ask!

My self-published novel, Swallow, in e-book form has been climbing the Amazon best-seller charts (currently it's in the top 50), winning several indie awards and getting very good reviews. I’ve been told that if it continues with this success that there’s a chance I could get picked up by a good publishing company, which is my dream beyond dreams! So, I’m just asking you all to please spread the word! It’s about a young Manhattan attorney with an anxiety disorder called Globus Hystericus, and it’s comical in places, but also very serious. Reviewers have found it both entertaining and thought-provoking. People who like women's fiction / literary chick lit, books about lawyers, or books about anxiety disorders seem to be liking it the most. It’s currently 99 cents in e-book form and is $14.99 in the paperback version. But since the e-book version is doing so well and people seem not to mind taking a chance on a new author at that price, I’m trying to get the word out about that one. So if you know anyone who reads e-books (the Kindle version is downloadable onto any e-reader as well as a PC or Mac) and likes the kind of fiction mentioned above, please let them know!

Thank you so much you all!

Thank you, Cory!
Congratulations! You should be proud of your success. It's especially difficult with you being self-published so you are doing something great.

I hope you do land a publisher if that's your goal. You're gaining a platform and that's always a plus!

I don't have a Kindle, I have a Sony Reader so I can't get my ebooks of Amazon. Is it available for non-Kindle folks to download too?

Best Wishes!

Hi Stacy-Deanne,

Thank you! Well, I've sold over 1,000 copies total of the book now and I'm still hovering around number 60 on the top 100; it's kind of moving up and down. I'm hoping that all looks good to a publisher, along with the many awards and good reviews. Who knows what publishers are looking for these days though!

And yes, it's also available on Smashwords: in all e-book formats. It's actually free there through the end of July (which I think is tomorrow), and then it goes back up to $3.99 after that.

Thank you so much for your support, Stacy-Deanne, I greatly appreciate it!
Money where my mouth is - I'm going right now to buy your ebook version.
Thank you so much!
Great job! Gaining the top 50 status is no small feat. Keep on trucking, getting a splash on Amazon.com is how I found an agent (and then a publisher) for my self-published book.
Oh cool! I'm going to start looking for a publisher now! Thanks for letting me know about your success, Cathie. I'm glad to know I'm following the right path! And congratulations to you!
