LOL! This works so much better- good call Kamy!

My WIP is a non-fiction book with the working title 'The Devil's Oak' (it's a book about haunted trees)
oh I like it!
reminded me of the 'talking trees' n my story. But I love the tittle, the word OAK has a special effect to it.
Great title!!! So alluring. I see it.
I love this title.
I agree with others...this is interesting, dark, mysterious...I would be curious to see what the book was about, if I saw this title staring back!
Definitely!
agree!
Good girl -- I just had to turn off "comments" on that post to FORCE people to jump over here.

The Devil's Oak is interesting, though honestly I want to hear the subtitle -- do you have one? Cause the phrase "haunted trees" really grabs me! I have never heard of a haunted tree. Also need a title that gives me some sense of why it's a book.
I'm still debating on the subtitle, but there are a few I've been tossing around:
The Devil's Oak: Origins of The Haunted Tree
The Devil's Oak: From Saint to Superstition
The Devil's Oak: Culture of Fear

eh..I don't really like any of them, but I *know* that I want the first part to be The Devil's Oak..lol
These three subtitles are wildly different from each other. Is it a history of a specific haunted tree?
No, it's an entire group of trees found across the globe. My research started with one tree, then I found another, and another, and then I discovered some really interesting 'reasons' behind why people thought of these trees as haunted. There are three main categories of haunted trees (the majority of which are oak trees, hence the name) and the book examines each 'reason' and gives examples of the trees, along with their story.
