Thanks for the feedback, and I definitely agree. I modeled the title after a portion of the official title of the 'Great King' of Persia, with all its archaically repetitive articles and prepositions, but have been bothered all along by the length...This is the 4th different title I've played with so far. I just don't think I'm there yet. Want to come up with something with even more of a Persian flavor.
I think you're onto something with adding more Persian flavor to make it really stand out?
While I liked what Veronica had to say about your title, I would shorten it even more:

DAUGHTER OF LANDS EAST AND WEST
Thanks, Joyce, for your input. Sometimes I think it was easier to write the book than find the right title!
I can't figure out when someone is responding to my title.
Please email me jkrides@aol.com with your comments about Pint Sized Partisan for my YA book about a girl in the partisan
Working title: The History We Don't Know. It's a novel about a woman who wishes for something different and gets it in spades.
Love it.
Thanks!
This made me think about a non- fiction history book.
Thank you for the feedback! Do you think it would help to add the words a novel or find a new title?
Me, too...
again, I'd leave out "the"

history we don't know

makes it more personal, for me, at least. Like the title very much.
