Hi Debbi,

While I like both, That Precarious Gait evokes so many thoughts and feelings of walking carefully through life, while Finish Line makes me think that you are at the end of your journey.

I'm not sure which picture you want to put in the head of your readers, but my gut opinion is that I like That Precarious Gait.

I like both titles, in my mind they both evoke a different emotion.

He was on the phone a long time, so I wandered around his apartment.

Current opening for my new novel, STRAY.

Not a memoir. Portrait of the artist as a young girl. Strong voice is a long prose necessity no matter the POV. As least for this reader. So I find the thematic trust and give that voice center stage.
Great Advice. Thanks, Deb

I've finished writing my first draft of a 74K word YA paranormal fantasy.

"BETWEEN THE MOON AND SHINE" is the working title.

About sixteen-year-old Bobbi Flowers going to Shine, MO to stay with her Grandma Moon...

Hi, (I am new to She Writes and I am not sure if I have posted right?) My working tile to an historical novel, The Tile Maker, set mid-18th century Lisbon, Portugal about a tile making family.  It's a tale of resilience and perseverance in the face of unexpected events.  A story set in the social, economic and religious climate of Portugal and colonial Brazil and one that illuminates the social and environmental costs of high and religious art.

I toy with:  Portuguese Tile or When Saints Betray.

Comments.

Definitely the Tile Maker!

The title of  my book:  Sanctuary of the Soul (it means Maine...my  home State)

The title of my memoir: Ghost Child to Triumph (from a child with no voice, to someone who speaks up against injustive)

Very interesting topic! I like both titles - especially Sanctuary of the Soul...

For the second one, what about just "Ghost Child"?

My fiction title refers to an underlying theme throughout the book.

The Perfect Light

Intriguing!! I like it... Did you play around with "A Perfect Light" or "Perfect Light" or anything like that as alternatives?

Ooh I agree, it's so intriguing!!
