My goal for today is to break 30,000 words on my November writing challenge. I have some editing deadlines next week, and so won't be able to do as much writing, so getting it all down now is imperative!
Is anyone trying one of the 11-11-11 challenges today?
I have heard of two variants. 11 hours or writing or 11,111 words.
I would love to hit both of those but I think I'm going to soften the challenge a bit and try for 11 hours of 'writing activities' (which includes some outlining, blogging, some SheWrites and NaNo forum checking in addition to actual writing hours). I think I can do this since I have the day off and decided my core business hours are writing hours today... I just have to hope I have the enthusiasm to then do the 3 more hours I would have done once I got home.
Go for it, Elaine! Working today so I can't partake but I'm rooting for you.
Today's goal is 3k and reining in the unexpected plot twist that has me a little away from my outline. Not too much, though, and it did bring a nice additional layer of conflict to the story. I was going to say 2k, but it's Friday. Why not go for it?
Definitely! Friday is a great time to pick up some extra words.
Hi everyone. Yesterday was such a monster day. I wrote about 3500 words (incredible for me) and did so much revision and planning. Today is a full day. I hope to get to 15000 words today.
Ok, I challenged myself to do 11 hours of writing activities... not just writing, but all the stuff around it. So check, I hit that today. Unfortunately I hit a plot snag and got stuck re-outlining things for two hours so that hurt my word count. I didn't get to where I challenged myself, which was to cross 30k tonight, but I did manage 8272 written words with a total count of 28799 words. You know, I'm feeling pretty happy.
How are everyone elses goals going?
