SheWriMo: She Writes November Writing Challenge, NOVEMBER 1ST

Hi all!  My goal for today is to reread and edit the first two chapters of the novel I am working on, and then to write 500 words. (I have my writing group tonight so I will be reading and giving feedback on other writers work, which will cut my afternoon a little bit short.)  What's yours?

I unfortunately got off to a slow start today.  I got a novel I started 3 years ago - 28,000 words done, did outline and refreshed myself with my characters, read last chapter I'd started, decided it was worth pursuing and was ready to hit it fast and heavy tonight after work!  Didn't because myson came but I'm primed and ready to go first thing tomorrow. Love the group concept so whoo hoo for all of you who did some words today/tonight.  I plan on joining you!

Hi! I'm doing NaNoWriMo and my goal is the minimum 1667 a day. So far (it's 8:30 PM Pacific Time) I've done 2140. I'm doing an alternate history -- a political romantic thriller set in 1953 Paris called Come to Me.

Thanks Kamy!

Hey everyone:

My goal for today was to write the next scene of my pirate musical and to work on another one of the songs. I did a bit of both...whew.
Hope everyone else had a productive day, too.
A pirate musical ... a la Pirates of Penzance ... or more the Caribbean sort?
I finished the first draft of an add-on scene (I call it an accessory) to my novel. This means something because I neglected it for several nights in a row before today.

Hi, everyone!

I think this is a great idea.  I'm going to try and write a few words a day, too.  Not sure where to start, or if I should just pick up with one of my (several) works in progress.  We'll see how it goes.  Thanks for the encouragement!

Happy writing to all!  :)

Moree like Pirates of Penzance but music varies with diff.
styles. May even have a pirate rap. Aargh LOL

Yargh! I haven't started, and we're almost on to the second day! I find I write in spurts.

My goals from now until Sunday night:

1) finish the story reviews I have to do (15 stories, plus a short comment on each. I'm not counting this but it has to be done)

2) Work on my WIP (I need another 10K or so words, but not sure I'll finish before Sunday)

3) A short story for a horror Xmas anthology (probably 2500-4000 words).

So if I intend to reach my goal, I have to put out about 12 000 words by the end of Sunday. Wish me luck! :)

Glad to see everyone is rolling, even if some of us are a little behind!

My goal is to write daily Monday - Saturday. Blog post, journal, short story -- as long as it's something, it's... Well, it's something, alright. (I'm hoping to pull off 500 words each time; does that count as a sub-goal?)

Hey, grand idea! I'm not a novelist but my goals are like yours: 500 words a day, or progressing an essay from the prewriting to the composing stage, or writing a blog post, or submitting a story to half a dozen publications. Today I had writers block something fierce. It was a matter of having too much content and no particular avenue for structure or outlet. All the NaNoWriMo talk on Twitter and SheWriMo talk here, combined with some coping skills I'm learning to combat writers block, allied to help combat the plague. I got almost 1000 words done on an essay plus a blog post of 500 words or so. Phew!

Good luck to everyone participating.

My goal is to finish Nanowrimo on time this year. At least twice, I've finished the day after. Last year, I abandoned Nanowrimo and went back to work on another first draft just because I couldn't maintain my interest in my planned Nanonovel. I want to make sure I write at least 1667/day. Yesterday I got off to a good start with 2133. I wrote 565 words this morning before breakfast. I will write the rest of my daily quota when I come home from work.
I am going to edit / rewrite five pages of my novel.
