SheWriMo: She Writes November Writing Challenge, NOVEMBER 1ST

Hi all!  My goal for today is to reread and edit the first two chapters of the novel I am working on, and then to write 500 words. (I have my writing group tonight so I will be reading and giving feedback on other writers work, which will cut my afternoon a little bit short.)  What's yours?

Fun idea! I'm doing NaNo as a means of distracting myself from obsessively checking my inbox to see if anyone likes the novel I'm querying. I'm trying for 20,000 words/week (2000 words/day during the week + 5000/day on the weekends). Hope to report on Sunday that I'm on track for Week 1 ... or that I've gotten a great email ... or both.  :)

Been there, done that! ... Painful isn't it? The good news is that you can't die from it :) ...that's the extent of the good news. :(  ...I hope you hear back soon, one way or t'other.

My goal for today is to decide on an ending, if not finish it. I've been editing as I go along (something I'm going to try not to do next time) and so the flow isn't quite there for me, in terms of just writing along and seeing what feels right to end it.
My goal is to finish the chapter I started yesterday.

My goal is to add depth and detail to my protagonist.

My goal for November is to write a haiku daily and to update my blog a minimum of twice a week!
I just added some slow cooker recipes (EASY ones) on the subthread Kamy started here. Maybe we should start a separate thread on how to keep our families fed during NaNo/SheMo?!

Did my five pages and very proud of myself.

Suffering from severe resistance (aka fear) about actually getting this novel finished and having to do something about it!

Thanks for setting this challenge as I'm hoping it will help me over this block. Thanks to all who post. Thanks for being able to write!

Well, I have surpassed my goal for today.... word count was 5279!  Now I think I have earned some ball playing with my favorite friends..... Sparky, Proby, Miss Peabody and Spiffy.  Til tomorrow........ maybe I will make the children brownies for their afterschool snack!
Yay! I managed 3 hours yesterday and 4 today (toward my goal of at least 3 every day this month). This has already helped me to power through some tricky revisions I'd been procrastinating. And I'm enjoying the company. I didn't realize there were so many of us!
Ah, procrastination: a writer's most corruptive friend. Three hours daily is a grand goal. Luck and blessings!

Family crisis intervened yesterday and I didn't get any of my goals accomplished ... Bah! Humbug! ... also didn't get a lot of sleep, but will try for them again today ... also some sleep!

1,000 words on Book 2 of my series, and update my 'Mortal Instinct' page on my blog
