Permalink Reply by Patricia A. Hawkenson on November 30, 2011 at 5:59pm I completed the 50,000 word goal of NaNoWriMo this year! Now I'm in the 'tweaking' mode before submitting my 'Baby' to the world! It is called Baby Road and chronicles a young girl's experiences during the 1930's as legal adoption and the black market baby trade share the same highways. Next step, I will be entering the SheWrites Young Adult Novel Contest! Exciting!

I'll have to look into that Young Adult Novel Contest. My MS that I originally thought I'd expand via NaNoWriMo past the 3 chapters I have already written (and decided to place my energies elsewhere instead) may have a second chance after all! Best of luck with your writing!
Congrats Patricia!
Sorry I forgot to report back. I have finished the first draft of Do What You Love! at 72 550 words and I'm happy with the results. I will now edit and add more research at certain places. I loved to write freely, I think it wil be easier to read.
Now I want to make the best book I can. I plan to self-publish it in spring during a major blog tour. If you want to stay in touch, would love a guest post on your blog or read the book, you can subscribe and get all the info on my site at http://www.behappyanddowhatyoulove.com/blog
