We have chosen a winner: AMY HARTL SHERMAN, who wrote this beauty:

Write it down. Set it free.

And huge thanks to our inspiration for the six-word memoir contest, SMITH magazine, creators of the six-word memoir project. SMITH is currently accepting submissions for its newest collection (to be published by Harper Collins), "The Moment: An Instant When Your Life Changed."

Please feel free to continue adding your WHY I WRITE six-word memoirs, here, as well! Maybe a book is in She Writes' future, too.

Because 'history' is not my story.
SHE
loves,
cares,
dreams,
hopes...
WRITES.
Bookstores make me woozy with possibility.
Can't stop talking, so write instead!
Or

Can't stop talking. Must write!
Just an idea...

There are so many wonderful lines here, it would be great to see as many as would fit, printed in a way that the text would form, in giant block letters, "She Writes"
Great idea! I'd go for that.
To remind myself why I'm alive
Wordy woman. Worthy woman. Words. Worthy.
Words bring joy, and joy... possibilities!
I write to tell your tale!
Breaths become meaningless, mundane – words SAY.
