What Key Traits Make Up a Power Woman?

Hi Ladies I am not as advanced on this Platform as most of you are, so in my effort to interact more with this great community, I wanted to conduct a type of Survey on a Topic I am Looking to Write About. And Since all you women are Power Women in your own way, I felt it most appropriate to ask you all this question:

"What Key Traits Make Up A Power Woman?"

...When you think of a Powerful Woman, what stands out most?

Some things I have come up with so far are:

Finances

Confidence/Self Love

A Great Mother

A Great Wife/Girlfriend

I would say determination.

I say this because being a writer isn't easy... you have to stick with everything until the end. Actually every job takes determination at some point.

Being able to talk to men. I live in a smallish city in Southern Calif. and many of my girlfriends are not able to talk to men at all (or barely), because they have nothing to say that would ever interest a man. To be successful you need to talk to both sexes comfortably. I would say the same thing to a man, except that it is still in many ways a man's world (regarding success) and so this ability is even more important for women.

Having a strong, wise mentor. I have read that successful men are much more likely to have had a mentor (or mentors) along the way than women are. An example of a successful woman and her mentor is Oprah and Maya Angelou.

A powerful woman owns her successes, knowing the difference between being proud and bragging. She celebrates her accomplishments. When I finally got my college degree (at age 40), I threw the biggest party of my life. Family and friends from far away came to celebrate with me. It had been a long, difficult journey with mountainous obstacles along the way. I wanted to relish in my success and share the joy. Since then, I have facilitated celebration evenings and weekends to help friends celebrate their small or large accomplishments. Such events help empower us as women. Whether it is a small reward you give yourself for reaching a goal, or a big celebration, pat yourself on the back and rejoice.

That's is so true! I have great mentors and know that because of this I have accomplished so much more. I think Supporting each other is Important. Once we reach our Success, it is our duty to empower others to do the same.
