Writer's Conferences
After making a blog post earlier today about writer's conferences (specifically about the possible faux pas one can make at one -- I once told an author I admired that her little dog looked like a bat. Yeah, sometimes I need a muzzle), I thought maybe we could use a thread to trade info on conferences -- recommendations for specific ones, do's and don'ts, and similar advice.
Favorite conference suggestions, anyone? (Mine is Squaw Valley Community of Writers.) Worst faux pas? (Mine is probably--but not conclusively--the bat comment.) Best advice? (Don't suggest to an agent that she take your 600-page manuscript--which you just "happen" to have on you--with her for her flight back to NY.)
