I'm not sure how many of you are on twitter but I have just realised that it might be the perfect medium for having a realtime discussion of sorts. My idea is to have 4 or so questions ready, to get the ball rolling and then pick a time/day that everyone can meetup on Twitter. By using the hashtag (#) you can then just focus on our conversation.

This idea is not really mine- I watched a really interesting discussion today with an under 30 professional group who were discussing how to keep conversations going when you meet someone new, what to do with awkward moments, is swearing ok and who they would really like to meet and why. Their # is #u30pro

Our tweetup could be held at #ASW

On twitter, once we get the conversation started,  if you search for #ASW then all out tweets will follow on from each other without interruption. The chat can be saved as well!

The #ASW needs to be added to each tweet before you send it to show up at that location.

Make sense?

So who's in? We need a day/time and some questions. Something about blogging, writing, networking, literature etc would be great I think.

Heather

Couldn't wait till Monday, with your tantalising tweet, Heather! Glad I dropped by before heading out - this sounds great! I'm definitely keen. :) Will brainstorm a few questions.
Yay! #ASW is taken - will have to be #AUSW
yep i'd be up for it. though i'd need a bit more technical info on how to do it all. wouldn't mind a discussion around publishing in australia. how to get an agent if you've never been published. should i bother? What about how so many of the Aussie publishers don't accept unsoliticted - i've taken to sending to american publishers. is this the right angle? etc
