Welcome Authors

If you write in this genre, you already know there is a huge shortage in groups and networks for IR authors. We need to band together. I encourage all authors and writers here to share networking advice, anything that pertains to the IR community.

If you know of any online groups or social networks that cater to interracial fiction and Romance, please share here.

You are allowed to post info about your books, post book reviews, share links, anything you'd like. I've created this as a haven for IR/Multicultural authors. You do not have to be an IR writer to be in this group. Everyone is welcome but just know that the purpose of this group is for people who write IR fiction and that's what we will be discussing here.

If you review IR books, please post here. If you have a blog pertaining to IR books or you feature them, please post here.

Welcomes authors of all IR no matter the genre. Crime, Romance, Erotica, Gay & Lesbian, anything.

I ask you all be respectful to one another. Please do not spam other members. Use this board for your promotion but do not use this group as a free for all to spam people.

This group is not for talking about interracial dating or those type of discussions. This is for authors to talk about the genre and to share and network.

Check out my site. I'll be posting about my upcoming Crime/IR novel from time to time.

The greatest JOY for a writer, is reaching the end of a manuscript that seems to have taken FOREVER. AND - knowing that it's exactly the way you want it. When I write the words of the last page, I am going to drink myself a nice glass of wine, ALL by myself - because I did this... ALL BY MYSELF. Through the HELL - and I do mean HELL - I got this done. Yeah... my mama was right. No matter what life tosses your way to slow you down or stop you, IF you can overcome it and STILL reach your goal... nothing short of death will ever stop you after that.

I agree with you, Vivienne. Smart women have to abandon self-defeating thoughts and actions concerning married men. As women, we need to keep in mind that Prince Charming comes in all colors. There is someone for everyone.

As my late aunt would say, if he’s not with you on holidays, he’s not yours.

Urenna, what an interesting and great article, Being Mary Jane or Olivia Pope at 40, 50…I have always felt that women who get involve with married men usually want to have their cake and eat it to. In other words, they want to play it safe. They can have their affairs for a couple of hours and then go straight home, without having to worry about working at a authentic relationship with that married man. That's the wife's job. And you are right. There are so many single men that can fulfill a single woman's needs. Although I do not see this type of relationship as a healthy one, there will always be women who will choose to be with a married man for one reason or another. As the saying goes, "When the husband has a heart attack, ends up in the hospital, the first person they call is the wife not the woman on the side." And if the husband needs to be cared for during his recovery, it will be the wife taking care of him and not the mistress. Nevertheless, I will be 68 next month, and I am hooked on Scandal, and enjoy Being Mary Jane. LOL

Hi, everyone. Today I'm over at fellow MC romance author K.M. Jackson's blog discussing dark themes in romance. I'm also giving away a free copy of my novel, Eagle's Heart. Please feel free to stop by and comment for a chance to learn more about the book, and to win!
