Teicha,
You can give free books away too. Rawsistaz and Goodreads will accept free books. You can give away one or more books. It's up to you. Rawsistaz will review your book for free. Clarion and Kirkus will review for a fee. In addition, don't forget to advertise in your local newspapers and community newspapers. By the way, I read it's not a bad idea to take pizza to the staff where you're signing books.
Comment by Teicha Hill Mailhes on March 28, 2013 at 7:58pm I recently got a coupon for FB advertising, I was thinking about giving it a try. Since I have a print book now, I'm thinking of arranging a signing at one of the local businesses. I guess I have to get out and actually meet people. Yikess!
Comment by Deneice P. Tarbox on March 28, 2013 at 7:26pm I advertise on facebook, but it's difficult to tell if it really works.
Comment by Teicha Hill Mailhes on March 28, 2013 at 7:14pm Marketing Question - Ladies, is there one avenue that has worked best for you when marketing your works? I love my blog and keep it updated. I'm in a few Yahoo groups and post infrequently. Should I send my work out to reviewers (which scares me)? I'm just at a loss!
Comment by Teicha Hill Mailhes on March 20, 2013 at 6:20pm Hello All, I'll be hosting Hero Week again this year on my blog and I know it's far, far away but as I'm learning - Time flies! If you'd like to post a character interview with the romantic hero of your choice, please let me know and I'll get you a date. The dates this year are (September 8 - 15th). And if you know a real like hero who would like to spotlighted, please let me know. Last year I used my brother who is a Marine. The real life hero post goes up on September 11th.
