Hi - I love reading memoirs and have certainly contemplated writing one (some day)...Most recently, we listed 10 women's memoirs on the site for Suzanne Braun Levine, author of "Fifty Is the New Fifty," which I manage/produce. The list came from Martha Allen, a friend in Washington, DC who is the director of the Women's Institute for Freedom of the Oress, an organization founded in 1972 by her mother. We listed "10" of Martha's favorite -inspiring in different ways - memoirs. It is a thoughtful and thought-provoking list of memoirs is the best way I can think to describe it. My memoir(Burned: A Memoir) that's been in the making and creating for well over ten years--about a childhood tragedy-- is finally out and in bookstores. So exciting--sudden-to see it there--to hold it in my hands.
I'm starting to do some readings in San Francisco and back East. It's been an amazing, grueling and exciting journey--from writing to publication. I'm happy to share my experience with others.

Thank you so much for the congratulations--and for looking at the cover and reviews. I'm excited beyond belief. I only wish my parents were here to see it--but then again I don't think I would have written the same book had they been alive. That's another whole memoir discussion!
