“Mommy, I’m hungry.”
She turned to see her young son standing barefoot behind her, and tried not to cry.
Comment by Jayne Martin on May 22, 2012 at 11:09am I lift my first cup of coffee to my lips and let its warm, rich taste glide past my lips, across my tongue, and enter my body to fire me up for a new day. My mind buzzes with activity, trying to sort out priorities. But for this one moment, my fingers dance across the keyboard, lightly tapping out this tiny bit of writing before the short time for such indulgence slips away.
