Melissa - I was getting into the habit of imagining famous actors playing the part..  I had to stop because I was seeing my character the whole time as that person.

I now also look for randoms..

Rosie, I have a file full of images of people cut from magazines that helps with characterization. Sometimes, just the image will inspire a story!
