What's more important, plot or character?     That's a tough question to answer. A great mystery plot will keep me turning the pages until the end. But delightful, intriguing characters whom I can…Continue

I am a panster and tent to do things as I go....  This time I have decided to lay my characters out and for some reason I am really excited about it.

Obviously I have a vague idea in my head but I was wondering what you all think about finding pics of vague people (I don't think famous would work) and using them as a basis..?

in my latest book the black bras is a group of vigilante women in the 22nd century who take the law into their own hands--- the future sometimes seems to offer more possibility for the arc of female characters, meaning spec fiction or science fiction, I feel less constrained about falling into the "she lives happily every after" narrative, and this is such a temptation! anybody else experience this?

So glad to have finally got the  bones of my two Antagonists. Shelby Walker. A Bad Girl. Jacob Walker A Potent Villain. They are twins. A good piece of advice about A's. versus P's.

Your Antagonist is out to destroy your Protagonist. Don't forget the WHY?

My book Bullies. Bastards and Bitches arrived today. Just a quick look at the pages I know this book will be invaluable for building Antagonists. Excellent. Thank you Zetta for the referral. x
