One is pretty snarky: Why Don't I Just Eat, and one is not so snarky: I Can't See Me...

Comment by Lisa W. Rosenberg on February 4, 2012 at 9:46am Hi everyone. (How did I not know this group was here?) I just wanted to introduce myself. As a former ballet dancer I suffered from anorexia, then transitioned to bulimia, which I lived with for many years. Now recovered, and a therapist (but I deliberately don't treat eating disorders directly), and mom, I write fiction and blog about body image, recovery and identity. (Sorry for the run-on). Looking forward to connecting.

Comment by Lorraine Duffy Merkl on January 5, 2012 at 12:01pm In a time when many authors have to shill their own work (physically and financially) because publishers can't afford to or don't want to unless you're a Kardashian and they know people will line up for the book signing (yes, Kim & Co "wrote" a novel) we can get so caught up in promoting our stuff that we forget others have written books too.
In an effort to help a friend/mentor as well as recommend a book that I have read and really did benefit from I offer you an article I wrote about "Unhooked: How to Quit Anything."

Just don't quit writing.
I had no idea this group existed! I have a memoir on my laptop detailing my 15 year struggle with bulimia (and other things). We'll see if it ever sees the light of day!
