Attached please find my essay "Loving Lydia" for possible inclusion in the anthology. The piece is about my relationship with my sister who suffers from bipolar disorder. The essay won 3rd prize last week in the Westport Arts Center essay contest; I retain all rights.

I have published essays in the New York Times, Salon.com and New York Metro newspapers, among others.

Hi Laura, here is a submission by me if you are still accepting them.  I am not sure what I have written is what you are looking for but it is my story.  I will be willing to make changes if you think that necessary. 

Good luck with your book.  It sounds fascinating.
