Okay, there's a month for novel in November (NaNoWriMo) and a month for poetry in April; is there a month for essays?

Montaigne was born in February.  His Essais, 1580, make him the founder of the form.

(I think April was chosen for poetry because it's when Shakespeare was born.)

Too bad there isn't a NaEsWriMo for essays for February then.
