It's double-spaced. it's actually 3,044 words, so a little over your 2000. A literary journal is what I would imagine would fit, but I would love to get opinions. Could I post as a .pdf?

11 pages is rather long. Do you have a website you could post it on and link to? I'm no expert in the area of publishing, but to me, an essay is usually pretty short...somewhere between 400 and 2000 words. Even a magazine article is usually much shorter than 11 pages.

What is the subject matter? Could it be published in something that deals with the topic specifically?

Anyone else got advice here?

I have a question, what is considered a short essay? My professor recommended that I have my midterm published. I would love to get feedback from this forum, mainly, is it good enough for publication and ideas for where to get it published. Is 11 pages too long to post here?

Hi Amy-Where have you been trying to get publised. Have you tried calls for anthologies? I've had some luck with that market.
