I've never done a multiple submit for op-ed either, and like you, I've wound up putting work on Huff Po because of the timeliness factor. Would love to know how others deal with this.

Comment by KiKi Walter on June 3, 2011 at 10:09am I wrote a piece about my feelings regarding a certain F-word, memories of my Grandpa--the breaking wind type noises he'd make at the table, comforting me during lightning storms, sneaking donuts, his death, and how he taught me to fight. Like a big black bear.
It's an essay about life, love, strength, and fear: In My Life.

Comment by Meg Waite Clayton on May 29, 2011 at 4:34pm A question on pitching for op-ed pages: Do you multiple submit? So many of them say not to, and yet some of the oped-type stuff I write becomes untimely very quickly... I've been following the no-multiple submit edict ... with the end result that I end up throwing things up on the Huffington Post at the last minute because it's getting to be untimely.
And if you do submit to Op Ed pages, where do you have success?
