Funny Women

I want to encourage women to submit to humor venues. I urge you; I implore you. Let’s start a revolution and change the world’s mind about who’s funny. Your heart will swell with accomplishment and your breasts will become larger. This I promise.

Here's what happens when two friends share a story that prompts three unrelated flashbacks, which fracture into a handful of side anecdotes that fuels a bunch of digressions and a half dozen non-sequiturs, interrupted only by wide-open mouthed frantic silent uncontrollable howling convulsions.

Yes, I was uncivil, but I do think it's equally uncivil to tell someone that if they don't like it, they can leave. That doesn't solve the problem. I am sure that there are others who feel as I do about the abusive takeover of a site, but say nothing. And obviously from the lack of entries there, people have backed away from it.  Have you looked at the page yourself? Is that you want to see on a site where people are seeking serious information and exchange?

Lucille, I don't understand your complaint or comment, and find it an unproductive way to address a grievance. Please be civil. If you have a specific complaint against a member of this group, then address it to the moderator. If you have an issue with the shewrites site, then address it by clicking on the Report an Issue on the bottom of the page. Otherwise, I respectfully remind you that your participation is voluntary, you need only to remove yourself from any group or site that no longer suits your needs.

Maybe people would if the site hadn't deteriorated into psychobabble.

Comment by Jayne Martin on December 5, 2013 at 10:21am

Maybe more people should just start contributing more often, Lucille.

Comment by Lucille Joyner on December 5, 2013 at 10:01am

Shouldn't someone, maybe one of the founders, do something about the takeover of this site by one person?
