Comment by Rev. LaWaughn Rouse on February 18, 2011 at 8:37pm Hello Ladies this is my third day as a member and this is my ninth group. I guess I'm just excited to be here. At any rate I'm a new gramme and still learning the ropes of such a great position. However I don't have that many stories about my own grandchildren just yet but I do have wonderful stories about my own grandmother. She is a very important person in my life and gave me my greatest gift. She introduced me to Christ and He has been my strength all of my life. Now just a little quick story about my grandmother.
On September 15 2010 we celebrated my grandmother's 100th birthday. She still walks unassisted and teaches her senior citizen aerobics class. She has no real illness and has never been in the hospital except when she had her children. She cooks and takes care of many of her neighbors who are much younger than she in her senior living home. She lives alone and is very happy. She has taught a bible study class every Friday for over 50 years. She still sings in her church choir and just stop being one of the church nurses. At her party we spoke about these things and other great things that she has done. When it was her turn to speak she said the following" I'm really glad you all like me. I never thought I would live this long. I've lived so long that my grandchildren are now senior citizens"....ha,ha,ha got to love her she has told me so many stories that I would like to share with you. Someday I would like to write a book about her life. Her own grandparents were slaves....but that story is for another time.
Thank you Ladies for allowing me to be apart of this wonderful group
