I spent many years in Education as both a classroom teacher and Reading specialist. I hope to continue making a positive contribution with my blog, Nurturing Literacy Grades 4 through 8. I believe parents need all the support and information they can get to foster literacy development in the home and I'm passionate about doing what I can to make that happen.

Wow, Pattie, I just spent about 2 hours combing through your wonderful WomenCentric site! I am so impressed.  I am definitely signing on, once I work on my bio.  Congratulations to you for building such a wonderful portal to connect women of every type of business.

Rhonda, is that the correct link? This is the message I received when I clicked it: "Were you looking for a specific ViSalus Promoter's website? . . . "

Hi there. I'm glad to meet everyone and will check out your blogs tonight. My blog is called Women Making Strides. "A woman who makes strides appreciates being alive and takes active steps to care for her body, mind, and spirit. She accepts challenges along her path and uses her God-given talents to better the world." I am working toward being such a woman and I invite my readers to join me.

Wow! I'm so glad I found this group. Like-minded individuals looking to pass on positive change!  I LOVE it!

I have just started a blog called "Wrestling Pollyanna - Struggling To Stay Positive In A World Of Negativity". which is focused on wrestling the negativity we are bombarded with looking at life from the bright side of the street.  It's focus is positivity - my observations, quotes, discussions, etc. all lean toward the positives in life.

Pattie, I had a quick look at your site WomenCentric. It looks brilliant! What a great idea. I will scour your site soon when I have a few moments to dedicate to it.

And Linda, TenThingsILove, excellent idea.  I have book-marked it!

Positive change must happen everywhere and I am glad to be here with entrepreneurial women.  So happy to have found kindred spirits.

Hi all - this is the first group I'm joining on SW. Chose it because I'm the founder of WomenCentric, a cool new online directory for women authors, experts, thought leaders, speakers and enthusiasts! It's also a personal advertising platform and a publisher, where we get to share great tips & trends via SuccessPaths, our weekly e-newsletter.

Our goal is to help diverse women stand out from other crowded channels and get found, whether you want to sell books, products or services, switch careers, seek strategic partners, get new clients, share your expertise, connect with the media or secure new speaking gigs.

Check out ExpertsnAuthors, our YouTube channel, when you're able. You'll find lots of helpful videos featuring insights from diverse experts & thought leaders.

Looking forward to being a part of the group and hearing your stories, what you are writing and doing to make an impact!

Hello!  I'm new to the group, but am truly glad that I found it.  I am co-facilitator of the Storyteller's Village.  We just launched our Fan Page last week, and our blog is launching today!  The group is supposed to re-launch in all its revamped wonder on the 5th of July.

There is a healing power in expressing one’s self in a creative manner.  It is our hope to help women, especially, remember their “true” selves, the selves that have been forgotten or lost due to a build up of societal debris through various artistic and creative mediums, including journaling.

I hope that you'll check us out and, if you feel so moved to do so, spread the word about us.
