Book Tour to End Gender-based Violence (Advice Please)
Hello everyone:
I am the co-author of a new book, Hey, Shorty!: A Guide to Combating Sexual Harassment and Violence i..., that is a narrative of young women of color organizing to end gender-based violence against girls, women, and LGBTQ folks. We think a book tour would be an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about this issue and have created an online fundraising campaign to support the tour on IndieGogo (http://www.indiegogo.com/HeyShortyontheRoad). I wonder if anyone has participated in a similar campaign and might have tips on how to get the word out beyond the borders of our typical network.
