Dear Laura, I know how you feel. My husband was a Vietnam Vet, the love of my life, who took his own life many years ago. And there was NOTHING out there for me either. Three years later, I decided to write about our life, our love and the pain . . . Little did I know that writing would help heal my heart. My manuscript is complete and I'm trying to get it published. This is what my blog is about. And by telling my story I want to help others dealing with this pain.  Because I do know how you feel . . .

If you go to my blog, read my first post in April called, In The Beginning . . .  It will verify what I've said.  And I'll help you anyway I can . . .

This week on My Uncharted Journey into Publishing My First Book, a memoir, I've posted "What is a Synopsis and Why? . . . Part One."  It may not be of interest today, but it might come in handy along the way, if you want to take a look.

I just returned from our annual family reunion in Ohio and I'm ready for fall.  There's new opportunities with my manuscript.  I'll keep you posted as I step into these new challenges.  I feel energy in the air whirling around me and it's good for a change . . .

A creative week to you all,

Nancy@ http://blogofavetswife.blogspot.com/

hi. to all those that have lost someone to suicide, i feel you. 5 years ago and some odd days i lost my dad to suicide. this spun my life into a complete path of unknown. as i was seeking books for comfort, specifically for women who have lost their dad to suicide, i found NOTHING. it was quite frustrating. so frustrating in fact, i have decided to write my own. through the experience i went through, i want to be able to comfort other ladies - of any age - and say, hey, i know exactly how you feel. nobody else can, not unless they are like you and me. no book out there currently on the market will provide the comfort us ladies are looking for, why that is, i'm researching. if you'd like to help me, please reach out. the purpose of this book is to HELP ladies learn about it, cope, what to expect, what to look forward to and when it will all be "ok". i never knew what suicide meant (i did, i'm just being facetious) but never wanted to know...unfortunately, i feel it every single day. thank you.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry, I've been M.I.A. Hope you're all having a great summer.....and loving the fun weather. It's been pretty busy with hubby, the kids, graduations, moving up ceremonies, a new job and school. I'm in my sophomore year, and pretty proud of myself. It has been challenging at times with just trying to juggle life, but God had taken me through it all. I'm also working on my first children's book. I have a very gifted illustrator, who is very close and dear to my heart, so we'll be working on my book this summer......pretty exciting. I'm looking forward to better and greater things and opportunities. If anyone of a good publisher who does fictional children's books, please feel free to refer them. Annyway, ta-ta for now, and keep posted with your beauty-full lives.

My quote for today......

Saw “if only” yesterday. I can’t help thinking about the movie….

I would like to know what would you do if you had just one day left in your life…

Does anyone else ever feel really sad when their book is about to be released?  I feel like I am giving my baby to strangers...

You are right Frances...I have a murdered brother and a step son who died of suicide..it sucks but it absolutely can be a motivator!
