The light, the dark and the heart of India - how she awakens all the senses, a review of 'Shantaram' based on a true story and a few photos from my own travels back in 1995, memories awakened by this read.

I had just uploaded my interview with Speculative fiction writer Krista D. Ball blogspot.

I used my youtube today to listen to the songs I like to write to and the site flickered and I got the stupid "enter your cell phone number for verification" message. It was their site that screwed up not me, but because I won't enter my cell {it goes to 3 other steps including SSN# which is RIDICULOUS!} I lost my blogspot, my youtube, and my google and google+ accounts. Talk about frustrating...
I've put months of work into building the blog spot {9 followers} and google+ accounts to help connect with authors and stuff. Now it's all gone!
Thank goodness I also uploaded the interview to wordpress. http://kittyb78.wordpress.com/2012/04/13/interview-with-krista-d-ball/

I've had my fair share of fair-weather friends and abusive ones too. These days, though, I finally have Friends I can count on. http://bit.ly/J9sVWp

Hope you'll check out my latest blog post, which includes a short video, spring decorating tips and an eco-scavenger hunt:

Hi everyone,

Today I wrote about food and health what it really means to a parent trying to make good food choices for the family. Are you trying to integrate any new foods and/or menus as a response to health concerns?

Let me know what you do!

Cheers,

Maggie

Great post Maggie, bonne continuation!

Summertime! How the simple smell of newly-cut grass can take you back to your childhood summers :)

I passed two women today who were acting gossipy and self-important about a friend's complaints about feeling like a chauffeur to her kids - it set me off on a minor rant about expectations and tolerance: http://lifeinaskillet.com/2012/04/well-what-does-she-expect/

I certainly related - I'm sure some of you do, too.

Cheers,

Maggie

My 13 year old daughter was drawn to a local black church. I wasn't sure if we'd fit in. Now I'm pretty sure we'll become members! Read about my newest cultural experience in my latest blog post:

"I got stuck around 60,000 words and just couldn't seem to wrap up my own second book.  That's when I came up with the idea to cheat and skip to the end.  I wrote the epilogue and that gave me the direction I needed to fill in the…"
