Today is Marvelous Middle Grade Monday! If you aren't familiar, it's a meme created by author Shannon Messenger (http://ramblingsofawannabescribe.blogspot.com/). A whole buncha bloggers post middle grade novel reviews on Monday, and pop around reading each others' pages and sharing. It's fun!

My post today was a review of The Fourth Stall:

Today I wrote about raising teenagers. http://sallyaroundthebay.com/2012/06/manual-to-raising-kids/

I'm giving away the books I read about parenting teenagers. I'm done! ;-) Now to parent adultlets: people usually between the ages of 18-25 who think they are adults but still rely on their parents for financial and emotional support.

Today I shared pages from my sketch book!

I LOVE peeking in other people's journals or sketchbooks, so I decided to cough up a few pages of my own. Although it feels very revealing :)

I just found out my mitochondrial haplotype, u5b2c. this DNA links me to my great-great (hundreds if not thousands of greats) foremother and links my children and grandchildren into the thousands of future greats into the future.

I am exploring the writer's seven deadly sins, come add yours.

I wrote about finding my own Independence and taking charge of myself (in writing). http://sallyaroundthebay.com/2012/07/taking-charge-of-myself/

I wrote about the 4th (Independence day in the US) and how it, independence or the quest there of, relates to A. raising Children and B. becoming a writer.  I write two blogs - one for fun and the other for the craft of writing.

"Thanks for your comment and question, Kelly. There are a couple of things I hope to change: first, I want to upend the lingering perception by some that indie publishing isn't as legitimate as traditional. To make that happen, we need to work…"
