I agree with Tracy! Kat's piece about the working poor is a really fantastic one. It should have lots of eyes on it. I hope you'll try to promote it into as many markets as you can.

Could you, would you, consider de-plugging for an entire month?  I pondered the disconnection as Will Shakespeare might.  To Internet or Not, tis the question of the post.

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...but I have recently felt like I am slowly sliding down the sphere.

Is it possible I have made it up above water to breathe again? Can I get back to reading the blogs that inspire me?  I do hope so...keep on the lookout for some comment love...

In the meantime...(cue uplifting instrumental music) I am still writing. For weekly exercise of my fiction muscles I am contributing submissions to Clever Fiction. My story todayis a fun one. If you are looking for a cool way to get the writing juices flowing, you should check out the weekly challenges. There are some really talented writers taking part.

Write on!  MMF

I am currently working with my friends' Lovely Studios to market their self-help workbook "Where Are You Stuck?" by Lori Bertazzon. You can read my promotional blog post at keepingsane.com.

We are also trying to finish Kevin Bertazzon's ISMS: A Faery Mobster Story (a narrated, illustrated story with an animated prologue). It is available now as an iPad App, but the man Kevin paid to produce it as a Mac download, iBook, Kindle, and Nook has not completed the project.

I am looking for a programmer/developer with the capabilities (serious skills) to complete the job. If anyone has any referrals or ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks!

Delighted with the response to 7 Risks for Single Mothers; & The Art of Managing Them my free online book for single mothers, about single motherhood. I wrote it from my own experience and from stories other single mothers told me. Was sooo scared that it was too personal and that 'The Art" wouldn't make sense! But it does, with people I've never met! Do you get excited by readers too?

[SWP: Behind the Book] My Journey to Publishing An Address in Amsterdam: How the story of Amsterdam’s Jews became mine

Debut novelists are warned not to treat our books as if they were prized, long-awaited babies.  I’m guilty as charged – but, after all, I spent 13 years researching and writing and rewriting An Address in Amsterdam.  It’s the story of a young Jewish…See More
