When trying to introduce myself I find that I am a writer who mothers, as the writer is something I have always wanted, the mothering part just fell in my lap, and it suits me. I do my best at both, work hard, and find that thankfully, the information flows both ways. I write about it here: www.northsidefour.blogspot.com, and Iook forward to working with all of you, the mothers who write and the writers that mother.

Essay in New York Family: http://ning.it/dvObgG

Dear other mother writers, if you would like to contribute to NYFamily Mag, the column I wrote for is called On Second Thought. 700 words. Editor is Leah Black. Sometimes they reprint essays that ran elsewhere as long as they can attribute the piece to its original source of pub. Good luck if you submit.

When my two sons were growing up, my friends offered helpful advice. Good old Dr. Spock and Mr. Rogers were good resources, too. But I didn't want to take any chances when it came to being a good mother-in-law. My own mother-in-law and I do not get along. So while my older son was dating his future wife, I spent a lot of time talking with many women –– some of whom I barely knew –– who considered themselves happy mothers-in-law. I compiled a list of does and don'ts that have enabled me to have a wonderful relationship with both of my own daughter-in-law. Deos anyone have any ideas which magazines would be interested in this?

Hi, I'm Marion. When my now 14-year-old was small, I was the parenting column for The New York Daily News. Many of those columns have been repurposed on my blog She Said, She Said, on The Sister Project dot com, here. A memoir teacher for more than 13 years, to more than 600 students, I also publish memoir writing guidelines on my blog. See those here, the first of which is about Meg Waite Clayton, who appears right below me here in these comments. How lovely. Write on, sisters.

Hi everybody, my name is Angela. I am a new member of She Writes and now Mother Writer!
I have been blessed with two daughters ages 23 and 19 yrs of age who have recently left the nest to pursue their own dreams by attending University. I have written for much of my life, yet it has been over the last 2 years that I decided to pursue a career in writing. I am currently writing my first memoir DamnAgedGoods...I also write poetry and have written for MORE.com.
I look forward to meeting all of you and posting within the group.

Hi all,

I'm Sheba, also new to SheWrites. I'm a mother of two, one a six year old boy and the other, a two-month-old babygirl. I guess I have the best of both worlds. They both keep me extremely busy. I'm steadily trying to balance them and working on my first book.
