It happened again today, I was caught smiling.

I was talking with a woman with whom I'm acquainted. She commented, "You're smiling." "Am I?"I asked. "Yes," she said, "and you're talking about your 3 teenagers." I thought a moment, "Oh, well, that's because I like them."

Michael Ann, thanks for your support here and on the blog...I said exactly as much-- "my heart is breaking" which of course no husband wants to hear. I'd say after the kids, my writing is the one other area of my life I can't see having sabotaged; I will take care to shepherd circumstances so we don't have to have a marriage vs. writing show down.

Tracey, thank you as well. And Michael is fine, I go by either :-)

Thank you Michael Ann (or is it Michael, never know). It was such a pivotal moment for all of us who lived it, those here and abroad. I enjoyed your posting on it too.

Tania, I really liked your blog post. I found myself very upset on your behalf. That is the kind of thing that, when it happens to me, I can actually feel my heart breaking just a little.. I'm glad you were able to come out of it. I left you a comment.

My 9/11 post, about how oddly normal the day seemed, despite all, and the strength we all have to survive.

Why the sabotage when Mom tries to bust out for a writing retreat? With humor, and love, but a healthy chunk of disbelief, for the husband's mistake, on Feral Mom, Feral Writer today: http://poetrymom.blogspot.com/2011/09/why-every-wife-could-use-her-...

Been there? Anyone?!
