Why is it that we seem to let our dreams and desires get pushed to the back burner? I remember being little and had a list a mile long of things I wanted to try, and be, and create. There wasn't…Continue

Do you think about your audience as you write? Do you write simply for the story and characters, following where they take you? Maybe your approach is somewhere in between. It was brought to my…Continue

Comment by C. L. Kay on February 2, 2013 at 1:08pm Hi ladies! Just wanted to check in and say that me and the little one are doing well. He'll be four weeks old tomorrow and I can't even believe it. I'm hoping to pick up writing again very soon. Miss you gals!

Comment by C. L. Kay on November 8, 2012 at 11:21am I swear facebook is a drug. I go on to do one quick thing and it turns into two hours of shennanigans!

Comment by C. L. Kay on November 2, 2012 at 11:09am Holy cow! I just did a master word count for my novel and I'm up 90,402! I feel like I'll need at least another 50k before I can call the first draft complete. This is completely out of industry range for a first novel which is typically 80-100k. Yikes. I'm wondering if I will need to do major cutting or chop it into two seperate books...?
Comment by C. L. Kay on October 27, 2012 at 5:50pm Grrrrrr, falling into that age old trap where I backread 30 pages instead of writing new ones!
It's the weather!!!! My kinees and fingers are aching and I love the feel o the air today.
Monday-39 words...it's something...working on homework...
Comment by C. L. Kay on October 22, 2012 at 2:42pm Hahaha! Don't apologize. At least this topic is a concern of our authorship. Way more relevant than the internet games and random articles I was reading earlier.
Comment by Martha Brettschneider on October 22, 2012 at 2:29pm And no more talk about my Twitter issues, here. Now I've turned it into a time suck for everyone else too! Sorry!
Comment by Martha Brettschneider on October 22, 2012 at 2:28pm Thanks for the Twitter pep talk, Rachel. I'm trying! I did set up a few streams. I like the set-up. I need to think of the daily use like brushing my teeth. That approach helped me incorporate running into my schedule. I'm doing the same with meditation now. I guess social media management is next.
